| Independent Mortgage Broker: As a mortgage broker, I am an independent real-estate financing professional who specializes in the origination of residential mortgage loans. I am an independent contractor working with (on average) as many as 40 lenders at any one time. What do I bring to the table? I have broad financial experience and a long history in mortgage brokering. Highly entrepreneurial, I have founded, financed and developed companies in the fields of marine construction, real property development, equipment leasing, independent alternative energy, independent gas/electric energy, and real estate investment. More about Kevin - Lived in San Rafael since building a home here in 1974. - Co-founded St. Marks School which still prospers. - Have always been independent and entrepreneurial. Have started, grown and sold a number of companies over the years in a variety of fields. - Started a marine construction company, raised money for development projects. Developed marinas, waterfront commercial property, energy projects, some of the early windmills in Altamont Pass and Palm Springs. - Subsequently got a lot of litigation experience suing insurance companies for denying coverage. Went on to other things in the energy field. - Have 2 daughters and two sons in law I am very close to—plus a granddaughter and two grandsons. - I love to work—but I also like to travel, scuba dive, abalone dive, golf, ride bikes, run—but only on a treadmill now—read history, economics, novels. - BS in Economics and Political Science from Yale University. |
